From Lived Experience to Collective Action
In 2013, Sakshi, who grew up in a remote village and fought hard to access her own education, chose a different path during her college years—committing herself to children at the highest risk of being left behind. She spent years learning, researching, and working with grassroots organisations to prepare for this journey.
In 2016, during her fellowship, she met Dilip. When Sakshi shared her dream of building an organisation for out-of-school children, Dilip simply said, “That’s my story.” Having dropped out himself and worked as a child labourer, he brought lived experience and an unshakable determination.
Together, they are building Anubhuti—blending Sakshi’s vision with Dilip’s resilience. What began as a shared dream has grown into a movement that today empowers thousands of children and youth to reclaim their right to education, dignity, and hope.

Dedicated to our little
Champions
Anubhuti was born out of a simple act of empathy when two children were found eating from a dustbin outside Miranda House, Delhi University. What began as a response to hunger has evolved into a movement that has reached over 1,000,000 children, building pathways of dignity, education, and hope for those left out of the mainstream.
We stand with our little champions, ensuring that every child, regardless of their birthplace, has the opportunity to learn, thrive, and lead their community forward.
We are on the path of rewriting their story.

Our Vision
To build an India where education is not a privilege for a few but a right fulfilled with excellence for every child.
Our Mission
Creating a movement of local leaders who empower every stakeholder in a child’s ecosystem and drive systemic change at the grassroots.
